Our StoryWe are a student organization made of various majors at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. Our group has come together around a single issue we have all identified: Food Justice. Though this topic is a large and diverse area, the club has come together to collaborate under a set of main ideals. Our main concerns lay in responsible consumerism, sustainable sourcing, food security, and the human right to sustainable, accessible, nutritious food.
Food Justice at Virginia Tech plans to create awareness and enact change in Virginia Tech dining halls, as well as providing more information for those who want to make more informed decisions in their purchasing habits. We are always open to new club members and new ideas! To learn more, come out to one of our meetings in 223 in McBryde on Wednesdays from 7:30-830 PM. For more information, head on over to the Contact page and fill out the form. We look forward to hearing from you! |
On this website, we hope you find resources that are helpful for being vegan, vegetarian, or reducing meat intake in the Blacksburg area. Whether it be in the dining halls of Virginia Tech or in the surrounding areas of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, there are options to aide in food sustainability.

Included for your benefit are a multitude of different links: a page for updates of various food events and crises world wide, club events, and more. Another page that is in progress is what we are calling our "Soap Box" page; a page where various members of our club will have the opportunity to talk about topics that are related to Food Justice that aren't focus on by the group as a whole, but nevertheless are still important.
